Dear Superintendents, Business Managers and Maintenance & Operations Directors: The Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) is pleased to announce a new service, Benchmark4Excellence, a Maintenance and Operations Benchmarking Study, in cooperation with Region 4 Education Service Center - Educated Solutions, that will save you time and money. The purpose of the study is to develop a benchmarking pathway to greater efficiency and economy of operations by identifying current expenditures and procedures in an effort to establish or recognize opportunities for greater accountability and higher performance in facility operations. Examples of areas studied include: custodial, energy management, building maintenance, warehousing, water and waste, groundskeeping, and other facility operations. We believe the years to come will present some unique and critical challenges that are certain to influence the way school districts go about focusing on expenses in the maintenance and operations areas. Benchmark4Excellence will furnish you with up-to-date information that you can trust to give you and your school district the peace of mind to make those crucial decisions. Please take a few minutes to visit www.benchmark4excellence.org for an overview of the information you need to become a subscriber to the Benchmark4Excellence. If you are interested in subscribing, download the agreement and fax to TASBO. The Association's website, www.tasbo.org, also has a link to the Benchmark4Excellencewebsite for this valuable information for Maintenance and Operations areas. Our contact at TASBO for the Benchmark4Excellence is Laura Buchanan. Her phone number is 512-462-1711 x212 and her email is lbuchanan@tasbo.org. In the near future, you will be contacted by a representative who can provide you with more information on this unique, new service. Please forward this email to others in your district who are responsible for maintenance and operations areas. Thank you for your time and consideration. Gwen Santiago |
