About Us
Benchmark4Excellence developed from a simple pilot study commissioned by the Region 4 Education Service Center in Houston, TX. Several school districts had requested quality benchmarking information for their facilities activities and very little specific data existed. After further development and refinement the program is now offered to school districts throughout the Mid-US and Texas. From an original focus on Maintenance and Operations the program has expanded into other auxiliary services at the User’s request.
Rick Imig – President and Founder of Benchmark4Excellence:
With 25 years of work experience in the private sector dealing with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Business Services, Rick was asked to look at applying those benchmarking techniques to the school environment. Rick has a BSME from the University of Nebraska with substantial experience in business and technical management. Through this program he has tried to develop a fresh way to approach the school business while answering the question, “What would I want to know?”
Elizabeth Conner – Mid-US Account Manager:
Elizabeth Conner has a BS in Mechanical
Engineering from Purdue University and has been conducting benchmarking analysis with Benchmark4Excellence for three years as well as promoting the concept of benchmarking with Mid US School Districts. Prior to benchmarking, Elizabeth worked for a NASA sub-contractor conducting safety analysis for operations and designs for Extravehicular Activities. Elizabeth currently lives north of Cincinnati with her husband and three children.
Greg Carver – Director of Business Development
Greg recently retired as the Executive Director of Facilities, Planning, and Construction at Rockwall Independent School District near Dallas, TX.
